Potassium Nitrate is colorless crystal or white powder. It is easily soluble in the water,and the liquid ammonia but insoluble in anhydrous alcohol. It can not deliquesce in the air.As strong oxidizer,it will burn and explode when mixing with organics. It is a chemical compound with the formula KNO₃. It is an ionic salt of potassium ions K⁺ and nitrate ions NO₃⁻.It is mainly applied in compound fertilizer and foliar spray fertilizer for crop and flower, also used for food additive, rocket propellants and fireworks andgunpowder.
